The Road to $VGRD - How We Build the First Virtual Grid in 2026

In 2025 we released testnet, launching the first software led energy DePIN.

Early 2026 we introduced $VGRD as the coordination layer for energy flexibility.

The rest of 2026 we’ll transform that model into infrastructure with one clear objective: Build the first region with 1,000 coordinated devices and secure the first paying energy contract.

Still in a sandbox environment powered by $BIND points, this gives us the chance to test, simulate and demonstrate the functionalities required by the network for maximum success post TGE.

Welcome to the Road to $VGRD.

1,000 Devices? Why?

Energy markets do not care about user counts, they care about reliability. A Virtual Power Plant operator, retailer, or grid operator does not ask: “How many signups do you have?” They ask: “How much controllable capacity can you deliver in my region, tomorrow?” Below a certain threshold, you are a prototype. Above it, you are actual infrastructure.

Through our market conversations and modelling, we identified 1,000 coordinated devices in one region as the ignition point and the basis for sufficient aggregated flexibility, becoming a credible counterpart for regional contracts and generating first recurring fiat revenues.

In the Token Vision, $VGRD emissions and revenue sharing are anchored to real flexibility demand. Emissions are calibrated to actual capacity utilization and revenue flows, not abstract timelines.

That means: Without real pools of coordinated devices, the model cannot mature. Therefore, 1,000 devices in one region is where we will turn theory into cash flow.

Gravity Matters

On the hunt to maximize growth numbers, many networks expand horizontally across the globe before they build depth.

The result is scattered devices, weak density, no real leverage. But energy markets are regional and grid constraints local.

Flexibility is valuable only when it is concentrated.

That is why we are shifting into the next gear from: “Connect as many devices as possible” to: “Concentrate as many devices as possible in one region.”

A region-first strategy gives us dense flex pool, faster contract negotiations and stronger emission efficiency under the vote-escrow model.

In the $VGRD architecture, emissions are directed toward "Flex Pools" through governance. Flex Pools with real capacity and revenue potential attract more votes. More votes direct more emissions. More emissions attract more devices.

This flywheel only works if density exists. Density creates gravity. Gravity creates revenue. Revenue creates structural value - You know the story.

The Three Milestones of 2026

Everything we build this year serves one outcome: 1,000 devices in one region. Here is how.

1. Build Flex Pools

Flex Pools are the operational core of the Virtual Grid.

A Flex Pool is a regional cluster of devices aligned to the same grid signal and available for coordinated action.

In practical terms, we are shipping the following new features:

  1. "Location Sharing"
  2. Regional “Grid Signal”
  3. “Prosumer Score” evaluating overlap of consumption patterns to Grid Signal
  4. "Device Automation" based on Grid Signal

In the Token Vision, Flex Pools replace liquidity pools. Instead of pooling capital, we pool flexibility. Instead of allocating emissions to financial markets, we allocate them to physical infrastructure. Flex Pools are where $VGRD becomes physical.

2. Grow Flex Pools

By design, not all regions will grow equally. We are introducing a Gravity Layer that directs attention and incentives toward the most promising regions.

This includes:

Under the vote-escrow model described in our Token Vision, emissions are directed toward Flex Pools based on governance decisions and performance. Pools that generate revenue and demonstrate reliability attract more voting power. This creates healthy competition between regions.

Capital flows to coordination. Emissions follow performance. Regions compete to become revenue generating infrastructure.

3. Share Efforts Through Quests

Coordination requires participation. We are launching four new quests in 2026 that will help us to accelerate clustering. To keep things exciting, we reveal only the first one today.

Quest #1: Pin Pioneer

Every Virtual Grid starts with a dot on a map. Pin Pioneer is the first step in transforming isolated devices into regional infrastructure.

From Token Vision to Execution

The Road to $VGRD is the operationalization of our Token Vision. 2026 is the bridge between: Model → Mechanism; Mechanism → Density; Density → Revenue; Revenue → Structural token value.

This is the year we prove that decentralized coordination can operate real-world energy infrastructure.
